Maple Lane Park is approximately 240 metres from the site — close enough to be a genuine part of daily life rather than a weekend destination. Small neighbourhood parks of this kind do more for how a home feels than a large park several kilometres away, because they get used.
The Rail Corridor at Bukit Timah
The Rail Corridor follows the alignment of the former Malayan Railway line, running the length of the island through Bukit Timah. The restored Bukit Timah Railway Station sits along this stretch. As a continuous green route for walking and cycling, it is one of the more genuinely useful pieces of public infrastructure in this part of Singapore.
Singapore Botanic Gardens
The Botanic Gardens, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, sits at the eastern end of the Bukit Timah corridor and is reachable directly by Downtown Line from Sixth Avenue station. For a household in this part of the district it functions as a large back garden rather than an outing.
Bukit Timah and Central Catchment Nature Reserves
Further along the corridor, the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve and the Central Catchment Nature Reserve carry primary and secondary rainforest, trail networks and the island's highest natural point. These are proper nature reserves rather than landscaped parks, and their proximity is a large part of why this district holds the character it does.
Greenery Retained in the Turf City Precinct
Precinct planning material indicates that significant green areas are to be retained as the Bukit Timah Turf City estate is developed, with most of the Eng Neo Avenue forest and the greenery around Bukit Tinggi safeguarded, and efforts under way to maintain ecological connectivity both during construction and afterwards. The developer has also noted a planned park adjacent to the development itself.
These are planning intentions rather than completed works, and they are stated here as such. What is not in question is the existing green network, which is already in place and does not depend on the precinct being built out.

The practical effect is a district where a run, a walk or a weekend with children does not require a drive.
